Dealmoon Brings World Cup Fan Festival to Toronto’s Chinese Community

August 12th -

Dealmoon Canada brought the excitement of the World Cup to communities across the Greater Toronto Area through a series of live events connecting consumers, brands, creators, and local businesses.

The World Cup Fan Festival launched at Ashton Meadows Park in Markham, followed by an activation at North York Centre, reaching more than 1,000 attendees across the first two events. A third event extends the campaign into Mississauga, creating another opportunity to engage local Chinese consumers across the GTA.

More than 25 brands and merchants participated in the campaign, including Sun Life, Mercedes-Benz, CTExcel, Fantuan, Zhaobang International, and other national and local partners.

Creating More Ways for Brands to Participate

The festival was built around participation. World Cup themed activities, family experiences, merchant activations, host led games, and prize opportunities gave attendees reasons to explore the event and interact throughout the day.

A festival passport connected many of those experiences. Attendees collected stamps by visiting merchant booths and activity stations, encouraging movement throughout the event while creating more opportunities for brands to engage directly with consumers.

For participating partners, the format supported experiences ranging from booth presence and product discovery to customized games, QR code engagement, giveaways, and direct consumer interaction.

The result was a community event that gave brands a role within the experience and multiple opportunities to build familiarity and engagement.

Connecting Offline Experiences With Digital Reach

The World Cup Fan Festival was supported by an integrated digital campaign across Dealmoon owned channels, including the Dealmoon App, WeChat, social media, event content, and KOL/KOC creator activations.

That connection extended the campaign beyond each physical event. Digital promotion helped drive awareness and registration before the festival, while creator content, social sharing, and Dealmoon channels continued the conversation online.

For brands, these connected touchpoints create opportunities to build relationships with consumers across multiple stages of engagement. A consumer may first discover an activation through a trusted platform or creator, interact directly with the brand at an event, and encounter that brand again through social and community content.

The campaign brought those experiences together across one strategic initiative.

Building Partnerships Around Community

Community experiences create opportunities for brands to connect with consumers in environments built around shared interests and participation.

For Dealmoon, the World Cup provided a timely cultural moment to bring together its community, creators, platform reach, and brand partnerships in Canada.

The festival also demonstrates how offline initiatives can become part of a broader commerce and marketing strategy. Physical experiences provide opportunities for direct interaction, while digital media and creator amplification extend the reach and value of those interactions beyond the event itself.

Looking Ahead

As Dealmoon continues to expand its community initiatives in Canada, integrated online and offline programs create new opportunities for brands to participate in the moments and experiences that matter to consumers.

The World Cup Fan Festival is one example of how Dealmoon can bring together community engagement, strategic brand partnerships, creator influence, and digital reach to build connections that continue across channels.
